At Found Bhutan, we strive to provide seamless and memorable travel experiences. To ensure smooth trip planning and operations, we have outlined our Payment Terms and Tour Cancellation Policy below.

Payment Terms

Booking Confirmation

  • A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The deposit ensures reservations for hotels, guides, permits, and logistics.
  • The remaining 70% balance must be paid at least 15 days before arrival in Bhutan.
  • If a booking is made less than 30 days before the tour start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Customization Charges

Any additional services or customizations requested after the initial booking may incur extra charges, which must be paid before the tour begins.

Payment Methods

We accept payments via:

  • Bank transfer/international wire transfer.
  • Credit/Debit Card Payments.

Currency

All payments must be made in US Dollars (USD) for the international guests or INR (Indian Rupees) for regional guests (Indian Nationals) unless otherwise agreed upon.

Tour Prices & Inclusions

  • Prices are per person, based on double/twin sharing unless stated otherwise.
  • Costs include government SDF (Sustainable Development Fee), Visa Fee, accommodation, transportation, guide services, and meals as per itinerary.
  • Personal expenses, travel insurance, tips & gratuity, and domestic & international flights are not included unless specified.

Payment Confirmation

Once payment is received, a confirmation email with the tour itinerary and payment receipt will be sent to the guest.

Tour Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our guests as best as possible. However, to ensure smooth operations and fairness to all parties, the following cancellation policy applies:

Cancellation by the Traveler

  • More than 30 days before the tour start date: Full refund, excluding non-refundable service fees.
  • 15 to 30 days before the tour start date: 50% refund of the total tour cost.
  • Less than 15 days before the tour start date: No refund will be provided.
  • No-shows and early departures: No refund will be issued for any unused portion of the tour. However, the SDF is refundable for the unused portion of the tour. Refer our detailed guide on the Bhutan SDF and the refund process.

Note: Bhutan visa fees and bank transaction fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation by Found Bhutan

In the rare case that we must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or safety concerns), travelers will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule the tour at no additional cost.

Flight Cancellation and Refund Policy

Subject to the Airline’s cancellation policies.

Changes & Rescheduling

  • Tour date changes are allowed up to 30 days before the start date, subject to availability.
  • If changes are requested less than 30 days before departure, rebooking fees may apply.
  • If a traveler wishes to transfer their booking to another person, we must be notified at least 21 days in advance.

Note: Based on your revised travel dates, the minimum daily rates, accommodation charges, and airline fees may change.

Force Majeure Clause

Found Bhutan shall not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by acts of nature, pandemics, political unrest, flight disruptions, or other circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations or emergencies.

Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method, minus applicable bank charges.
