Tentative
Itinerary

At Found Bhutan Tours and Treks, we do not take our guests on a virtual tour before arriving in Bhutan. We want our guests to fully explore and experience Bhutan first-hand. Therefore, we keep our itinerary short and less descriptive.

The Trek to Paro Taktsang: Your guide meets you at your hotel and drives to Satsam Chorten — the trail head at the base of Tiger's Nest. The hike to the monastery takes approximately 2.5 hours each way through fragrant pine forests alive with birdsong and fluttering prayer flags. A view terrace at the halfway mark offers a perfect resting point and your first spectacular sighting of the cliffside monastery.

  • The trail is moderate in difficulty — the climb demands some effort, but the arrival is worth every step.
  • Your guide provides rich commentary on the history and sacred legends of Guru Rinpoche and Paro Taktsang.
  • Lunch is included at the view terrace café before descending back to the valley.

Evening Options in Paro: Once back in the valley, choose how to spend your evening:

  • Unwind with a Traditional Hot Stone Bath (Dotsho) and a warm homestay experience, sampling local Bhutanese cuisine and attire.
  • Stroll the charming streets of Paro town for local shopping, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
  • Experience a taste of Bhutan's quiet, authentic nightlife in one of Paro's welcoming local bars or restaurants.

Our itineraries are always customisable. You can shorten or extend your trip as per your needs at any time — simply speak with your Found Bhutan tour specialist.
