The most convenient routing is via Bangkok: Cathay Pacific or a regional carrier to Bangkok (approximately 2.5–3 hours), then Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines direct to Paro (approximately 3.5 hours). An alternative is via Kathmandu or Delhi, both well-served from Hong Kong. Total journey typically 8–10 hours including the connection.

Visa & Entry for
Hong Kong Travellers
All international visitors to Bhutan — except Indian, Bangladeshi, and Maldivian nationals — must obtain a visa before travelling. The visa is applied through your licensed Bhutanese tour operator (Found Bhutan), costs USD 40 per person, and takes approximately 5–10 working days. Once approved, a visa clearance letter is emailed to you before departure.
Documents required: Valid Hong Kong passport with at least 6 months validity. Your Found Bhutan visa clearance letter. Hong Kong passport holders do not require a transit visa for airside connections via Bangkok or Singapore; if connecting via Delhi or Kolkata on separate tickets, check Indian transit visa requirements in advance.
Sustainable Development Fee (SDF): USD 100 per person per night — a Government of Bhutan levy. Included in all Found Bhutan packages.

Paro International Airport is Bhutan’s only international airport and one of the world’s most dramatic. From Hong Kong, the most practical routing is via bangkok or kathmandu, then Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines onward to Paro.
Approx. 2.5–3 hours. Then Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines BKK–PBH (~3.5 hrs, daily).
Approx. 5–6 hours via one stop. Then Druk Air KTM–PBH (~1 hr, daily).
Approx. 6–7 hours. Then Druk Air DEL–PBH (~1.5 hrs, daily).
