Visa & Entry for
Russia Travellers
All international visitors to Bhutan — except Indian, Bangladeshi, and Maldivian nationals — must obtain a visa before travelling. The visa is applied through your licensed Bhutanese tour operator (Found Bhutan), costs USD 40 per person, and takes approximately 5–10 working days. Once approved, a visa clearance letter is emailed to you before departure.
Documents required: Valid Russian passport with at least 6 months validity. Your Found Bhutan visa clearance letter. Russian passport holders should confirm current transit visa requirements for their specific routing (via Delhi, Kolkata, or Dubai) directly with the relevant airline or embassy before booking, as requirements can vary and change.
Sustainable Development Fee (SDF): USD 100 per person per night — a Government of Bhutan levy. Included in all Found Bhutan packages.
Flights to Bhutan

Paro International Airport is Bhutan’s only international airport and one of the world’s most dramatic. From Russia, the most practical routing is via delhi or dubai, then Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines onward to Paro.
Approx. 6–7 hours direct. Then Druk Air DEL–PBH (~1.5 hrs, daily).
Approx. 5–6 hours direct. Then Druk Air DXB–PBH (twice weekly, via a scheduled Delhi stop; ~7 hrs 40 min inbound to Paro).
Approx. 1.5 hours, then onward via Delhi or Dubai to Paro.
Booking Tip for Russian Travellers
Delhi is generally the more frequent routing for Russian travellers given daily Druk Air service; the Dubai routing offers a useful alternative when Delhi is inconvenient.
