From Riyadh or Jeddah, the most convenient routing is via Dubai (Saudia or Emirates, approximately 1–2 hours), then Druk Air's twice-weekly Dubai–Paro service (via a scheduled Delhi stop, approximately 6-7.5 hours depending on direction) — one of the shorter connections of any nationality we serve. Given the total journey, we recommend 9–12 days in Bhutan.
Found Bhutan is a licensed local agency based in Thimphu. Saudi travellers bring genuine curiosity about mountain cultures and a strong appreciation for hospitality traditions, both of which Bhutan answers generously. SAR-equivalent quotes are available on request.
Visa & Entry for
Saudi Arabia Travellers
All international visitors to Bhutan — except Indian, Bangladeshi, and Maldivian nationals — must obtain a visa before travelling. The visa is applied through your licensed Bhutanese tour operator (Found Bhutan), costs USD 40 per person, and takes approximately 5–10 working days. Once approved, a visa clearance letter is emailed to you before departure.
Documents required: Valid Saudi passport with at least 6 months validity. Your Found Bhutan visa clearance letter. Saudi passport holders do not require a transit visa for the short airside Dubai connection.
Sustainable Development Fee (SDF): USD 100 per person per night — a Government of Bhutan levy. Included in all Found Bhutan packages.

Paro International Airport is Bhutan’s only international airport and one of the world’s most dramatic. From Saudi Arabia, the most practical routing is via dubai, then Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines onward to Paro.
Approx. 1.5 hours direct. Then Druk Air DXB–PBH (twice weekly, via a scheduled Delhi stop; ~7 hrs 40 min inbound to Paro).

Booking Tip for Saudi Travellers
The short hop to Dubai makes this one of the more convenient connections for Gulf-region travellers. Since Druk Air's Dubai–Paro leg operates only twice weekly, book it 10–12 weeks ahead during the March–May and September–November peak seasons. SAR pricing available from Found Bhutan on request.
